Hello! Yes, I’m still alive! And I see that my last post is from over a year ago. Oh dear.
I always find starting again after a long break extremely difficult. It’s as if I feel the need to write about something momentous, pretending that the reason I’ve started writing again is because there was something too exciting not to write about. But if that was the case I should have written about lots of other things in the last 16 months: moving house, getting married, eating the best meal of my life (so far), running a half-marathon, trips to NZ, to Singapore, to County Kerry, to Barcelona – plenty of things that could have inspired me to write, but none of them did.
So why am I writing now? To be honest, number one is that things at work are quiet and I have time to kill sitting in front of a computer. Number two is that my dear friend Percy told me she missed my updates, and I'm a sucker for compliments. The thirs reason is more exciting. I started this blog up in the first place because I was moving away from home and it seemed like a good way of keeping people updated without sending out mass emails, plus a nice way for me to have a record of our life in Northern Ireland. And it looks like after over 6 years in Belfast we are on the move again. But I’ll get into that soon enough. In the meantime, here’s some pictures of what’s been happening since I last posted:
Running & beer
Gorgeous weekends away
And of course, hiking
